Survey asks drivers about refueling assistance
Especially now, with all the snow on the ground, would you prefer to stay in your vehicle and let an attendant pump your gas rather than wrestle with the elements? It's your right under the ADA. Did you know that?
If you are a driver with a disability, we need your input. The Illinois Centers for Independent Living are conducting a survey that helps track the problems many drivers face at the refueling pump.
The result could be better, more efficient service when you need it most - when your tank's on empty!
Thanks, and good motoring!

Know of any inadequate or missing curb cuts in Chicago?
We are asking for your help. CDR has filed a complaint in federal court in Chicago against the City of Chicago for its failure to provide and to maintain curb cuts and ramps that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
If you know of a curb with no curb cut or ramp OR a curb with a non-compliant curb cut or ramp (too steep, not a smooth path, etc.), please contact our office, preferably by e-mail.
WE ARE ESPECIALLY INTERESTED IN BAD CURBS ON STREETS OR SIDEWALKS RESURFACED IN THE PAST 2 YEARS.
We thank you for your assistance in adding to the list of errors committed by the City of Chicago.
