- U.S. Access Board (Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board):
The only independent federal agency whose primary mission is accessibility for people with disabilities.
- U.S. Department of Justice ADA page: The ADA gives the DOJ authority to
issue regulations for title II and III of the ADA and to provide technical assistance and enforcement. DOJ also has authority to certify that a State
or local accessibility code is equivalent to the ADA's requirements for new construction and alterations.
- U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission: The EEOC's mission is to ensure equality of
opportunity by vigorously enforcing federal legislation prohibiting discrimination in employment. It uses investigation, conciliation, litigation, coordination, regulation in the federal sector, and education, policy research, and provision
of technical assistance to achieve this end.
